[00:05] Ekoda
To the Ekoda-chan fans looking forward to
this third adaptation, and to all our viewers,
[00:08] Ekoda
I say welcome. Ekoda-chan, at your service.
[00:11] Ekoda
I live in the Ekoda neighborhood
of Nerima, Tokyo. Hence the name.
[00:16] Ekoda
    I'm 24, single, and a career butterfly.
[00:18] Ekoda
    Wanna hear about my
    secret bachelorette life?
[00:21] Ekoda
    You might be asking yourself:
    "Why is this chick naked?"
[00:23] Ekoda
    Oof...
[00:23] Ekoda
    Saves a lot of time
    and money on laundry.
[00:25] Narrator
    What does a girl like
    Ekoda-chan worry about?
[00:27] Ekoda
I'm worried I look older than my years.

[00:43] Cop
Quit lying to me! There's no way
    you're 24 with a face like that!
[00:47] Ekoda
    It's an interrogation.

I know what I'm talking about!
[00:49] Ekoda
    So he says.
[00:50] Ekoda
You've probably figured this out by now, but
I work a lot of night jobs. 'Cause I'm flat broke.

[04:22] Director
I've done a few shows like this before.
[04:25] Director
But none of them did very well.
[04:27] Director
    There's another reason...
    and it's just personal taste,
[04:33] Director
    but I've worked on full
    series for so long now...
[04:36] Director
that I feel like I have to work on
at least six episodes of a show, you know?
[04:39] Director
    Otherwise, I have trouble
    even remembering them.
[04:42] Director
That's why, the idea of a show
    with so much source material,
[04:44] Director
    slated for a 12-episode run...
[04:45] Director
It made me think, "Why just
    the one episode?!" you know?
[04:48] Director
So all that was going on
in my head coming into this.
[04:50] Director
    When I worked on shows
    with a similar format before,
[04:52] Director
    not knowing how things would
    turn out in future episodes...
[04:55] Director
It was really... Well, when I'd done
my bit, I still felt really frustrated.
[05:00] Director
Because of that, to be honest,
I had half a mind to turn down the gig,
SIGN    Project/Production
    Manager
    Kataoka Yoshiro
[05:05] Director
but since it was Kataoka-san asking...
SIGN    And 'cause he'd been working on it for so long, I felt I had to pitch in.
[05:11] Kataoka
    I remember asking you
    about it 12 years ago.
[05:14] Kataoka
    And at the time,
you said, "Sure, I'll do it!"
[05:17] Kataoka
So I figured you couldn't turn me
down when the time actually came.
[05:20] Question
    Was there anything about Ekoda-chan's
lifestyle that you could relate to?
[05:20] Ishida
I think the fact that we're
the same age was a big factor.
[05:25] Director
Oh, yeah, you two are the same age.
[05:26] Ishida
Yep, we're both the same age.
[05:27] Ishida
    We're both... We're both 24.
[05:29] Ishida
    Oh, and another thing...
I actually have a pet lizard.
[05:33] Ishida
So that's a big difference between
me and her, I'd say. Other than that...
[05:36] Director
    She was worried it would
    crawl up inside her.
[05:38] Ishida
    You've got a point!
[05:40] Ishida
If that was me, I don't think I'd mind.
[05:42] Director
    Yeah?
[05:42] Ishida
As long as it was just
     in my ear or something.
[05:46] Director
    Awesome.
[05:48] Ishida
In recording, they really... Well, they
basically let me do whatever I wanted.
[05:54] Ishida
And afterwards, bit by bit, we drilled
down into what worked and what didn't,
[05:58] Ishida
and I think, together, we came up
with my own version of Ekoda-chan,
[06:02] Ishida
    with the help of everyone
     else in the booth.
[06:05] Ishida
    I'm really glad we had
    so much fun doing it.
[06:09] Kataoka
Daichi-san, is there anything in particular
that stands out about Ekoda-chan's lifestyle?
[06:14] Kataoka
Or anything you can relate to?
[06:16] Daichi
For me... Not one bit of it.
[06:18] Daichi
For one thing, I'm a man.
[06:19] Kataoka
    That's true.
[06:20] Daichi
    One thing in particular
I really don't get is, like...
[06:24] Daichi
Why Ekoda? You know what I mean?
[06:27] Daichi
I mean, when I think about Ekoda, there's
     this subculture vibe surrounding her,
[06:32] Daichi
but she's... she's not really what
    you'd call "alternative," is she?
[06:36] Daichi
    And the manga doesn't
    scream "alternative," either.
[06:39] Daichi
    So I honestly don't know
    how that works, exactly.
[06:43] Daichi
I mean... If this was a title
I was doing lots of work on,
[06:46] Daichi
that's something I'd explore in depth.
SIGN    Daichi Akitaro

SIGN    Daichi Akitaro x Ishida Haruka
[07:00] Kataoka
    I see.
[07:01] Daichi
    "We're halfway there," I thought.
[07:02] Daichi
    I think the first time
    we worked together,
[07:04] Daichi
    it was on "Poyopoyo,"
    another short-form series.
[07:08] Daichi
    That was another anime
     based on a 4-koma manga.
[07:13] Daichi
    And she was just...
    well, an extra, really.
[07:15] Ishida
    I really was! I had,
     like, two lines, tops.
[07:18] Daichi
    Seriously?
[07:18] Ishida
    Yeah, that was all.
[07:19] Daichi
But in spite of that, she
    made a strong impression...
[07:24] Kataoka
    That's impressive.
[07:24] Daichi
    She had something, you know?
[07:26] Daichi
And it's like... I know how this sounds,
but it's not like her performance was stellar.
[07:29] Ishida
    Yeah, I understand.
[07:30] Daichi
    Like, her reading didn't
     knock my socks off,
[07:32] Daichi
    but there was something
about it that appealed to me.
[07:35] Daichi
It's the kind of thing that makes me
think, and I wonder this all the time,
[07:37] Daichi
but what exactly makes a good VA?
[07:40] Daichi
Like, how do you make that distinction?
[07:43] Daichi
So from that point on, ping! Ishida
Haruka's cadence was lodged in my brain.
[07:49] Daichi
    And it stayed there.
I didn't want to get rid of it.
[07:51] Daichi
    So the question became,
"Well, what kind of voice did she have?"
[07:55] Daichi
And after that, I watched you
    on YouTube, and started thinking:
[07:59] Daichi
    "Yeah, she'd be absolutely
    perfect for something like this."
[08:03] Daichi
So then, we met up. We had a meeting.
[08:07] Daichi
We hadn't seen each other in a bit.
[08:07] Ishida
It was our first meeting for a while.
[08:09] Daichi
And it was the only chance
we'd had to talk at the time.
[08:13] Daichi
So I wanted to meet up with her
and see if we could work something out.
[08:17] Daichi
I told her about the kind
of role it was going to be,
[08:22] Daichi
and then, sat at that table,
I asked her to do a quick reading.
[08:26] Ishida
    That's right! Out of nowhere.
[08:27] Daichi
I did a voice memo. On my iPhone.
[08:29] Ishida
    Yeah. Yeah.
[08:31] Daichi
It was then that I was like,
"That was even cuter than I remembered."
[08:35] Ishida
Yeah, it turned out really cute.
[08:36] Daichi
    It was.
[08:38] Daichi
    But that was the Ekoda-chan
    I wanted. I was satisfied.
[08:42] Daichi
It was at that moment that I decided
Ishida Haruka-san was right for the role.
[08:46] Daichi
I didn't have any other questions.
[08:48] Daichi
It was a bit like that today, too,
    where I gave some feedback
[08:53] Daichi
    just to sort of polish
    up the performance.
[08:56] Kataoka
    Something I like about
     Daichi-san's projects
SIGN    Things Director Daichi is particular
    about when working on anime
[08:58] Kataoka
    is how they have
    a real sense of rhythm.
[09:01] Kataoka
Everything has such a nice flow.
[09:03] Daichi
    You make an excellent point.
[09:05] Daichi
    It's about timing, y'know?
[09:06] Kataoka
    Right, the pacing.
[09:07] Daichi
They say that how you pace
    things sets the rhythm.
[09:10] Daichi
But it's about more than just keeping
things moving at a good tempo.
[09:14] Daichi
    When it comes to timing,
    you need quiet moments, too.
[09:16] Daichi
    Just... That kind of pause.
[09:19] Daichi
And if you don't use breaks in the
dialog and action like that sparingly,
[09:23] Daichi
    the scene won't be the
    least bit funny or touching.
[09:28] Daichi
    So timing is important.
[09:29] Kataoka
    From what I saw today,
    you nailed it.
[09:31] Daichi
    Yeah, we tried our best.
[09:34] Kataoka
There were scenes where I realized,
if it lasted too long, it would drag.
[09:39] Kataoka
    And there were bits where
    you could speed things up,
[09:41] Kataoka
but you had to take extra care
to make sure every beat landed.
[09:46] Daichi
    Yeah. It's all about
    timing and... inflection.
[09:50] Ishida
    Yeah, with inflection...
[09:52] Daichi
So it's like, every line boils down
to its punctuation and its inflection.
[09:58] Daichi
They're two sides of the same coin.
[10:00] Daichi
So I'm a stickler when it comes
    to getting the right inflection.
[10:04] Daichi
Since this is a short-form series,
and I'm only on the one episode,
SIGN    Did the short format of the show
help you accomplish any specific goals?
[10:07] Daichi
I wanted to put my mark on it.
[10:09] Daichi
    So, ultimately, what I wanted
    to do boiled down to...
[10:12] Daichi
and this really gets back to how I'd
intended to turn down the offer at first,
[10:17] Daichi
    but when Kataoka-san asked
if I wanted to do it...
[10:22] Daichi
I thought: "If I'm going to do this,
how am I gonna do it?"
[10:25] Daichi
    I mean, throwing yourself into
    something is good and all,
[10:28] Daichi
    but the most important
    thing is to have fun.
[10:30] Daichi
    So we booked the studio
    for two hours today,
[10:33] Daichi
and we made full use of it.
[10:34] Ishida
    Right. We did.
[10:36] Kataoka
It was over pretty fast, though.
[10:37] Kataoka
I'm sorry there wasn't any more time.
[10:39] Daichi
    No, no, it's fine.
[10:40] Daichi
And since we finished up with
    about four minutes to spare,
[10:42] Daichi
    we considered doing
    another take of a scene.
[10:44] Daichi
That kind of thing is always fun.
[10:46] Daichi
    Then, it was like,
     "And we're out of time."
[10:48] Daichi
And we had to cut it.
[10:50] Daichi
But being able to do things like that,
and having a whale of a time...
[10:53] Daichi
One other thing I wanted to make
    sure I did, since it's a short,
[10:55] Daichi
was to finish editing everything in about
an hour, and then, listen to the final product.
[11:00] Ishida
    Right. It was great,
    hearing the final thing.
[11:02] Daichi
When you're working on a series,
that kind of thing is usually impossible.
[11:06] Daichi
    But getting the chance
to do that here was great.
[11:08] Daichi
We all got to laugh at it,
    all of us together.
[11:12] Ishida
    It was very funny.
[11:12] Daichi
    Right?
[11:14] Daichi
    The thing about
    Ekoda-chan as a manga
SIGN    On the depth of the original "Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan" manga
[11:17] Daichi
is the more you read it,
the more it sort of surprises you.
[11:22] Daichi
It's got real depth to it. It's difficult
to even figure out what genre it is.
[11:25] Daichi
    I mean, it's not exactly a comedy.
[11:27] Daichi
    It isn't really slice-of-life, either.
[11:28] Daichi
    That's the thing about "Rinshi!!
    Ekoda-chan." It transcends genres.
[11:32] Daichi
"Rinshi" – living on the edge –
    sums it up nicely.
[11:35] Daichi
    Yeah, there's.... There's a lot to it.
[11:37] Daichi
The serialization's come to an end now,
but it never really lost its way.
[11:41] Daichi
Like, at the very end, same as in
this episode, her boyfriend shows up.
[11:45] Daichi
He was there all the way through.
[11:46] Kataoka
    Right, right...
[11:47] Daichi
    It stayed solid.
[11:49] Daichi
    But over time, new characters
gradually got added to the cast list.
[11:54] Daichi
    And the thematic stuff,
    and the presentation...
[11:58] Daichi
The title ended without ever losing
    any of its characteristic traits.
SIGN    In the director's view, what is "Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan" about?
[12:03] Daichi
    Each strip reflects something
    personal about the artist.
[12:08] Daichi
    I might not always
    know exactly what it is,
[12:10] Daichi
    but even so, that's
    the impression I get.
[12:12] Daichi
I feel like the link it has with
    its creator is ever-present.
[12:17] Kataoka
    Right?
[12:18] Daichi
    And it doesn't beat
    around the bush about it.
[12:21] Daichi
    Y'know, thinking about it,
[12:24] Daichi
    and I mentioned this
    when we met up,
[12:27] Daichi
but it has a "New York" feel to it.
[12:28] Ishida
    Like a New Yorker.
[12:29] Daichi
    That's how I approached it.
[12:30] Kataoka
    Wait, what do you mean?
[12:33] Daichi
I produced my work on it while picturing
her as a New York career woman.
[12:39] Daichi
So she's always cool and collected,
and keeps a lid on her emotions.
[12:43] Daichi
She has emotions, sure, like everyone.
But she doesn't really show them.
[12:47] Daichi
    To me, that's what
gives it a "New York" feel.
[12:49] Kataoka
    I get what you mean.
[12:50] Kataoka
Like, "I'm East Coast, not West Coast!"
SIGN    After the break, we're back

[12:53] Kataoka

[12:54] Kataoka
    Yeah, that's it.
[12:56] Daichi
    That's exactly what I mean.

    and before that,
all I really did was judo.
[13:32] Daichi
    Judo?
[13:33] Ishida
    I did judo, yeah.
[13:34] Ishida
Seven years of it, in lessons
    and after-school clubs.
[13:39] Ishida
And then, all of a sudden
I ended up as an idol. Yeah.
[13:44] Ishida
Well, one day, I'd like to answer
    "a voice actress" to that.
SIGN    What would you say your main job is at the moment?
[13:48] Ishida
But right now, I guess I would say
I'm more of a gaming personality.
[13:51] Ishida
I play a lot of games, and
    my work centers around them.
[13:54] Ishida
    Not like... acting in them,
    just playing them.
[13:59] Ishida
A lot of times, my job
    is simply to play games.
SIGN    Do you get a lot of acting roles?
[14:03] Ishida
    Well, I'd say I don't
    get a ton of them...
[14:07] Ishida
I think that, when it comes to theater,
    I mostly do recitation dramas.
[14:10] Ishida
    Getting up on stage
    and reading scripts...
[14:14] Ishida
    That's the majority of my
    acting roles at the moment.
SIGN    What genres do you tend to do work in?
[14:17] Ishida
    Let's see... I guess
    trials come up a lot.
[14:20] Ishida
Usually, the shows are adapted from novels,
and a lot of them have court scenes.
[14:24] Ishida
    Like, "This person is gonna
    be executed!" kinda stories.
[14:28] Daichi
    That's crazy.
[14:29] Daichi
    What kind of roles do
    you play in those shows?
[14:32] Ishida
Well, the one I'm thinking of,
I was cast as a programmer.
SIGN    Daichi Akitaro
SIGN    What kind of role was it?
[14:36] Ishida
    Other than that... let's see...
[14:38] Ishida
And then, I was actually cast in a game
from the same franchise as the play,
[14:43] Ishida
and in that one, I played
a girl who was seriously crazy.
[14:47] Daichi
    That programmer...
    What was she like?
[14:50] Daichi
    Oh, the programmer was
     the really bashful type.
[14:54] Daichi
    Like, really cute and smile-inducing.
[14:57] Kataoka
    When you have
    to play a bashful girl,
[14:59] Kataoka
    how do you find that
    bring that out of yourself?
[15:03] Kataoka
    You're not shy, after all.
[15:04] Ishida
No, I'm not. Not at all, really.
[15:05] Kataoka
    You're more aggressive.
[15:07] Ishida
I'm not! I'm definitely not aggressive!
SIGN    Daichi Akitaro
SIGN    The trick to playing bashful characters
[15:09] Ishida
    But, y'know, bashfulness...
[15:12] Ishida
At the time, I was still kinda
     nervous around others,
[15:15] Ishida
so I feel like I'm going through life
[15:17] Ishida
    constantly telling myself
not to be so nervous now.
[15:21] Ishida
But with shyness, if you just accept it,
    you'll never be anything else.
[15:25] Ishida
So I just try to be more open.
[15:28] Ishida
And when I was doing that role,
[15:30] Ishida
I was still in my bashful phase,
     so it was really easy.
[15:33] Ishida
Yeah, I think I was 19 at the time.
[15:35] Daichi
So you took your bashful side...
[15:37] Ishida
Yeah, I took that part of myself.
[15:38] Daichi
    And if anything, that's
closer to who you really are?
[15:40] Ishida
    Yeah.
[15:41] Ishida
Like, if I had to choose, the version
of me that goes out and parties,
[15:44] Ishida
that kind of thing, is something
I don't have much experience of,
[15:47] Ishida
so I find that harder, yeah.
[15:49] Daichi
Did you get more of those
    kinds of roles afterwards?
[15:51] Ishida
    Those kinds of roles?
[15:51] Ishida
Did you find you were getting typecast?

[15:54] Ishida
    Good question.
[15:54] Daichi
    I mean...
[15:55] Daichi
It kinda makes you question how
the world at large sees you, right?
[15:59] Ishida
    Come to think of it,
    I really haven't done
[16:01] Ishida
a lot of super energetic roles.
[16:03] Daichi
    You haven't?
[16:04] Ishida
    It's one thing I haven't done a lot...
[16:06] Daichi
    Even today.
[16:08] Daichi
    While we were recording,
[16:09] Daichi
    you really kept a lid
    on your energy levels.
[16:11] Daichi
    You didn't start bouncing around.
[16:14] Ishida
Energetic... I think I've only really
ever had one role you'd call energetic.
[16:18] Ishida
When I was playing one of those
    "full of energy" idol types.
[16:20] Daichi
    As an idol, huh?

    Are there any roles
    you'd like to play?

[16:26] Ishida

    one day, I'd like to...
[16:29] Ishida
Well, I've done it a few
    times before, but...
[16:32] Ishida
the thing I'd like to be known for
[16:35] Ishida
    is playing young boys.
[16:37] Daichi
    Young boys?
[16:37] Ishida
The kind of plucky, energetic kids you
get in anime shows that air in the morning.
[16:41] Ishida
    A young role...
[16:42] Kataoka
    A young boy.
[16:43] Ishida
Either playing a young boy, or just being
in any kind of anime that kids watch.
[16:48] Ishida
    That'd be my dream.
[16:49] Daichi
    Like this show?
[16:51] Daichi
When you did that sumo wrestling bit,
that's the most energetic I've ever seen you.

[17:04] Daichi
    Like a cat?
[17:05] Ishida
    Yeah, they'd be like,
     "You just said 'meow'!"
[17:07] Ishida
    I apparently did that
    when I threw people.
[17:09] Ishida
    I wasn't particularly
    good at it or anything.
[17:11] Ishida
But I really used to enjoy
    playing in the mud.
[17:14] Ishida
I didn't have any dolls or anything,
[17:16] Ishida
so I used to play in
    empty lots, like a tomboy.

[17:35] Ishida
It's like what you were saying.
It really gave me a strong "New York" vibe.
[17:39] Ishida
    That was the impression
I got as I was reading.
[17:43] Ishida
Almost like it was based on
the life of an actual New Yorker.
[17:48] Ishida
    The impression you get with
    career-oriented people in New York
[17:54] Ishida
is that they pretend not to worry,
    and focus on their work,
[17:57] Ishida
    but deep down, they're still
    concerned about their personal lives.
[18:01] Ishida
    So when they get home,
    they feel a bit lonely,
[18:03] Ishida
but still try to play it cool.
[18:06] Ishida
That's why, whether there was a lizard
in her apartment or she was at work,
[18:11] Ishida
I wanted her to have that kind

    nailed that, personally.
[18:19] Ishida

[18:22] Daichi
    Right, right.
[18:23] Daichi
Like, she just trails off when
    she's wondering about pets.
[18:26] Daichi
    I really love that part.
[18:27] Ishida
    That was fun to do!
[18:30] Ishida
I gave it that little pause.
[18:30] Daichi
    While she's staring at it.
[18:32] Daichi
She was so scared at first,
[18:33] Daichi
but then, she's like, "I wonder
what it's like to have a pet."
[18:35] Daichi
    She even says that.
[18:36] Ishida
    Yeah, she did.
[18:36] Daichi
The fact that she's talking to herself
[18:38] Daichi
is what makes it so funny.
[18:40] Daichi
    That might be my favorite
    part of the episode.
[18:44] Ishida
Good question! I think the thing
    that stands out the most,
SIGN    What are your favorite, or most relatable parts,
    of the "Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan" manga?
[18:47] Ishida
or what left the biggest impression
on me when I was reading through,
[18:51] Ishida
    was the completely insane
    number of men in it.
[18:54] Daichi
    Yeah.
[18:55] Ishida
    That's something about
    Ekoda-chan's life...
[18:57] Ishida
    If I'm ever reincarnated,
I'd like to be someone like that.
[19:02] Ishida
    Because with my current situation,
    as things are right now...
[19:06] Ishida
I mean, I went straight into
showbiz at the age of 13,
[19:11] Ishida
and I'm now in my 12th year...
[19:13] Ishida
I spent a lot of my youth working
    in the entertainment industry,
[19:19] Ishida
so it's like... How should I put it?
[19:21] Ishida
It's the only world I know,
[19:22] Ishida
    and I've gone through life
    only thinking about work.
[19:25] Ishida
So it's not like I can just start again
and have a life like Ekoda-chan's.
[19:30] Daichi
    I see.
[19:31] Ishida
    We're both 24, but we've led
    totally different lives,
[19:34] Ishida
    so while there are
    things I can relate to,
[19:37] Ishida
    with things like her interactions
    with men, romantic interests,
[19:39] Ishida
    and just relationships in general,
    we're pretty different.
[19:43] Ishida
So if I had another crack at life,
    I'd try it Ekoda-chan's way.
[19:45] Daichi
    That's a good point. She's a free
spirit who goes with the flow.
[19:50] Daichi
    Then, she gets home,
[19:51] Daichi
    looks back on the day,
[19:52] Ishida
    Right.
[19:52] Daichi
    and pretty much starts
     headbutting the wall.
[19:55] Ishida
I think a lot of what
    she does is really cute.
[20:00] Daichi
    I'd say it's more like
    it turned out cute.
[20:02] Ishida
    You think so?
[20:03] Daichi
    That was your performance.
[20:04] Daichi
    Everyone was going,
     "So cute! So cute!" today.
[20:07] Daichi
That part where you go "Welcome!"...
[20:10] Daichi
    That was probably the cutest
    line you delivered all day.
[20:14] Kataoka
    It made me want
     to visit that place.
[20:17] Ishida
    Hitting the club.
[20:19] Daichi
    Maybe it's a cute club.
SIGN    It sometimes feels like the words "beautiful"
and "cute" are left out of the Ekoda-chan manga
[20:22] Daichi
    That goes contrary to
    what we've said today.
[20:25] Ishida
    Right.
[20:26] Kataoka
Daichi-san and me have never been described
as "beautiful" at any point in our lives.
[20:31] Kataoka
So we've put the whole idea
[20:33] Kataoka
of attractiveness out of our minds.
[20:34] Daichi
Yeah, I don't worry about it.
[20:34] Kataoka
    Not even for a moment.
[20:36] Kataoka
When the subject of attractive men
comes up, I go, "None of my business."
[20:39] Daichi
    Yeah, if it comes up,
    I have nothing to say.
[20:40] Ishida
    Nothing to contribute?
[20:43] Daichi
    Well, it just doesn't
    factor into my life.
[20:46] Kataoka
    Today, Daichi-san, you played

[20:51] ---
    Suddenly, it gets dirty!
SIGN    Daichi Akitaro
[20:51] Daichi
I was one of the three old men.
[20:52] Kataoka
    Right.
[20:52] Daichi
    What did we talk about?
[20:53] Ishida
    Something to do with left...
[20:54] Daichi
    The left of something...
[20:54] Ishida
    About preferring the left.
[20:56] Daichi
    When I was editing it,
I thought, "This is kind of crude."
[20:59] Daichi
It came across like a dirty joke.
[21:01] Ishida
    I see!
[21:02] Daichi
Three old dudes saying, "So you use
your right?" "You use your left?"
[21:05] Daichi
"Hell yeah I use my left."
[21:07] Kataoka
    That's right.
[21:09] Daichi
    I didn't really get it
     until afterwards.
[21:11] Ishida
    Me neither.
SIGN    Talk about today's recording
[21:12] Ishida
Well, this was my first time
doing voice-overs in a long time.
[21:17] Ishida
    About a year, I think?
[21:20] Ishida
    So I'm really sorry
if I was a little rusty,
[21:24] Ishida
but I really had a lot of fun
    portraying Ekoda-chan,
[21:29] Ishida
    and I feel like I've
    become a fan of hers.
[21:33] Ishida
And that's what I'm taking away
    most from this project.
[21:37] Ishida
    There's the other
    episodes to watch, too,
[21:40] Ishida
    so I'm really looking forward
    to checking those out.
[21:43] Daichi
Like I said, if we do this,
     we should have fun,
[21:45] Daichi
so that's what we did in
    the hours in the studio.
[21:48] Daichi
And I feel like we made the best product
we could while having a great time.
[21:53] Daichi
I even did some lines myself.
[21:54] Ishida
    Right.
[21:56] Daichi
Though, it's weird listening to them,
so we might redo those lines.
[22:00] Daichi
